Boys Blog, Too!
It occurred to me awhile ago that while I don’t really read many journals or weblogs on a regular basis, the ones I do tend to read are those of women - usually mommies like me. Why is that, I wondered? Is there something wrong with reading what guys have to say? Oh, hell no. It’s usually more amusing than what I have to say, that’s for sure.
So here goes… an entry filled with well deserved BOY LINKS!
First, I want to mention a few of my guy friends have blogs. They’re all really great guys and I have known all of them for years.
V.E., probably one of the longest standing and closest of my friends. He and I met when Devon was just a wee little thing and have been friends since… well, barring a few tiffs and rifts, but that’s the nature of friendship, eh? He’s single, girls. Yes indeed. Well. Maybe. He was last time I checked, but that boy has always got a dozen girls lined up to warm his bed, so…?
Another long standing friend (I met him at the same place as V.E.) is Sandtiger. Sandtiger is in the process of having a house built and so he and I get to chat about mortgage rates and paperwork in our spare time. Fun, eh? Heheh. But seriously, this guy is great (and very eligible, ladies!)
Mmm… my boy Greg is a DJ and a hottie, besides. I got to help him build a MUSH called Anderson’s Bookstore (long ago defunct) about a zillion years ago. Greg is another eligible bachelor. YUM. ![]()
Another friend of mine, though this one isn’t single. He’s got a gorgeous wife (hey, I’d do her) and they were nice enough to invite the whole lot of us (well, Jenica wasn’t really around at the time) to go hang out at their place for a bit, once. No small feat considering they live in a relatively small apartment. (Well, small when you’ve got two wildling boys running around, anyhow.)
Now, while I don’t know ANY of these guys, it was fun checking out the journal. Besides… Um, hello? YUM? I wish *I* was a gay man on the east coast. *sigh*
Speaking of gay men, (although I’m not really sure what that has to do with anything) another boy blog that’s extremely popular and well worth checking out, little.yellow.different. It’s good for at least a chuckle or twelve.
Not into gay men? Hm… how about the coolest band in the world (or so I’m assuming, since one of the band members, Disco was the coolest journaler in the world before he retired. Disco and I used to chat on AIM every now and then, and I tell ya, those chats used to totally brighten my life. Ok, ok, so maybe it was at least partially cos I felt like I was cool enough to talk to a celebrity or something, but still, it was nice. Haven’t seen Disco around much, so I’m assuming he grew a life. Funny how that happens when you stop journaling/blogging.
If that doesn’t quench your thirst for boys, check out BabyBlog or dotpaul.com for DADDY BLOGS!! Hooty hoo!
Daddies are cool. I had a daddy and now I’m married to one. Imagine that.
Last, but definitely not least, a man after my own heart who realizes that sex sells…. Things I Learned Today.
The lesson for today? Boys can be whiny, bitchy, thoughtful, boring, lusty, loving and funny just like us girls. Imagine that? Who’d have thunk it?
