About the house…

While I don’t want to jinx myself on this, I figured we’re close enough to “safe” I might as well write about the house.  Last time I wrote about “the house” things fell through in a bad way, so I’ve been very weary of writing.  Superstitious?  Uh huh.  My middle name.  Or is it Dork?  I forget.

Anyhow… some photos:

The specs:  4 bedroom, 3 bath (well, really one full bath and 2 that are only 3/4 baths), 2640 square feet, almost new deck with absolutely gorgeous views, fireplace with wood insert downstairs, fireplace upstairs.  HUGE family room, large master bedroom and bath, tons of trees and plants and a fenced garden area (with drip system).  The laundry room and kitchen are a wee bit small, but there’s a nifty area off the family room that’ll be great for an office.  The house is beautiful.  The price is right.  We’ll probably *knock on wood* be in escrow by the end of the week.  The owners seem willing to work with us, but there are some funky details we need to work out.  Namely, they want to stay there until June 15 and we’d like to move in May 1.  They’ll stay there, but under what terms… ugh, we just have to figure it out.  It’ll be a financial hardship on us to have to pay for two (or even three??) places at once, so we’ll see. I’ve no interior photos.  I never bothered to take any.  It was a rough day, and I just didn’t think I’d want to post any photos until I knew we had the place.  But, you know, I’m starting to dream of what it’ll be like to live there, and I’m planting my garden in my head.  Dangerous, since I may well be setting myself up for a big disappointment if things don’t work out.  We’ll see.  Fingers and toes crossed.
