Birthday Party at V’s!

The bottom line is it’s real easy to shake your head and pretend you give a shit about little kids who are being beaten, molested, and degraded by the very people responsible for protecting them, but it’s quite another thing to step up and put your money where your mouth is. Quit playing lip service to these kids and help them out in a real, tangible way.
This is one of my favorite blogs. V is funny and obnoxious and real, which is why most people love her so much. Even if she embellishes (or outright makes up) some of her stories, they’re written from such a solidly real perspective, one can’t help but enjoy reading them. The big thing is, V is not the type to just sit there and bitch about how sucky the world is - and then not do anything about it - she actually steps up to the plate and does something.
So yeah, please go donate a little something. It’ll be a nice way to wish V a happy birthday and it’s a good way to help kids. (And if you feel like donating locally, instead, I encourage you to do that. Just get off your duff and do SOMETHING.)
