Flu Season

In some areas the flu epidemic seems to have “calmed down some”:http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/newsfd/auto/feed/news/2004/01/06/1073449750.16509.3976.0400.html;COXnetJSessionID=17I0n3Oxf9rukVnvaLx1rWepluUu27EiQvRF6gGnCIYC9EAwwsFx!638736700?urac=n&urvf=10734653969400.43143033341902115 while in other areas the flu season has “yet to peak”:http://www.news-record.com/news/local/rock/rocflu_010704_rk.htm.  While it’s been said that the “flu shot”:http://www.canoe.ca/CalgaryNews/cs.cs-01-07-0008.html is safe and nothing to fear, that didn’t help when there “wasn’t enough to go around”:http://www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyle/2004-01-07-flu-shot-main_x.htm.  Some who did receive the vaccination “recieved dud doses”:http://www.kingcountyjournal.com/sited/story/html/152512 which didn’t help them, anyhow.  In Colorado, alone, the flu has cost the state roughly “$600 million”:http://www.9news.com/storyfull.aspx?storyid=22802 - which is nothing to sniffle at.

It’s at least good to know that inventors are working hard to help offer comfort for those who do get the flu.  This one in particular seemed especially handy.

Bundle up, stay warm, and do your best to “avoid getting the flu”:http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/preventing.htm this year!
