I drive me crazy… oooh oooh…

Saturday traffic here in this area isn’t really very bad at all. Nothing at all like Friday night commute, but still, I find myself absolutely terrified to drive in even moderate traffic at high speeds, and especially in areas where I have never or rarely been before. Well, I decided that I truly needed a break from the three boys (that includes Daddy) so I escaped off to see a friend who is actually almost like a sister to me. Well, except that we don’t really fight like sisters do. Given the chance and a dozen or more years to live with each other we probably would. *giggle* Ok, um, so anyhow… I drove all the way there and back and I didn’t crash, I didn’t panic, and I didn’t die. Wild, huh?
The coolest part of the whole trip (aside from having a small break from motherhood) was getting to see some of her old haunts. I actually got to sit in the coffee shop where she did her first poetry reading back in the summer of 1993. (Gosh, I hope I got the date right, she’ll like, kill me or something.) She often talks about places she hangs out, or important events that take place for her, but I feel so detatched from her “real life” events. That’s her “real life” and I guess I’ve only really been a major part of her “virtual life”, so getting to go see “real life” was… wow… let’s just say I felt especially included and suddenly very “real”.
It was definitely fun playing with the babies and seeing them interact. It’s such a trip watching them since J. is over three months older than R. and R. is at least as big—if not bigger that J.!! Crazy. They’re so adorable, both of them and I warn you… DO NOT CLICK on that link if you are at risk of getting baby fever because I’m telling you, you’ll want to just eat them right up, they’re so precious.
Ok. So, that was my cool accomplishment/vacation/Saturday. I’m very grateful to have such a good friend.

Yay! Liberty is so brave!
Baby Wrestlemania was so funny! I’m so glad you came to visit us. And that driving down here wasn’t terrible or anything. Now you’ll have to come more often!
