Number Ten

No, this isn’t a top ten list - though maybe I’ll make one later.

Instead, this is a sort of announcement.

As many of you know, I have been insanely buried in a podcast project called Moms in Scouting Service.  Part of it was a deep desire to share some of my own experiences and knowledge, part was to offer up some of the information that I wish I had available when I was first starting as a leader (and the mom of two Cub Scouts), and part was that I ended up fashioning my Wood Badge ticket around the podcast, or at least part of my ticket.

I always said I just had to get to number ten.  Show #10 was my Wood Badge ticket goal, and Show #10 proved we were serious enough we could stick with it for more than a show or two.  Things have been tough, though, sometimes painfully so.  Between the difficulties of working with THREE other women (at one point four other women) and the frustrations of managing busy schedules and forum trolls who were just out to prove women shouldn’t be in Scouting… well, the strain was pretty heavy.  I am relieved to step down, now.
In MISS Show #10 we announce that Nancy is taking over the MISS show with her co-hosts, her husband Colby, and Alan, an insightful friend of Scouting… well… just go listen for yourself.

With all this free time on my hands, I can finally begin that book I’ve been promising to write all these years.  I am hoping to have it done by December, barring complications.

So… yay.  We made it to #10.
